“BW came across positively, once you were in the room you were on the project. That was key and BW are very passionate about what they do.”
The fit out project
Jupiter Asset Management’s move to the dramatic Zig Zag Building in London’s Victoria aimed to deliver a new environment that would support client entertainment and provide an inspirational space for 430 staff. BW’s Contracts Director Paul Kavanagh, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry, led the fit out. His passion, positivity and reputation for good communication helped BW to win the project.
The 57,000 square foot interior, designed by HLW International, aims to engage end users and features high-quality finishes with an ‘urban vs nature’ theme. A variety of formal and informal breakout spaces encourage collaboration, while quiet areas allow for private working.
Other features include a triangular ceiling design with recessed linear light fittings which required painstaking coordination and design development. BW also worked closely with the base-build contractor, who was still on-site completing the building while fit out works were carried out. A raft of positive feedback was received at the end of the project, with BW recommended to other clients and ongoing contact maintained between BW and the client.
