The fit out project

Tableau helps large global organisations to understand data through analytics software focussed on business intelligence. It needed a clean, industrial office design to complement its brand and company ethos.

Working with Gensler architectural firm, BW set to work on the 44,000 square foot project situated on London’s South Bank. BW Contracts Director Paul Kavanagh led the programme; informed by his team leadership skills developed over more than 30 years in construction.

The theme of shifting perspectives featured heavily throughout the fit out. In the new reception area, a giant glass kaleidoscope was created; its complex arrangement of glass diagonal fins forming a hub that cleverly draws everything together.

The space is zoned to offer a variety of options for quiet and collaborative working to ensure maximum creativity. Private offices and team rooms are equipped with acoustic and visual screens between the conference rooms and the open-plan workspace. The innovative, adjustable workstations give staff the health-boosting optionto either stand or sit at their desks.

Specially designed custom artworks inspired by the Chinese puzzle tangram – where multiple possibilities are reflected in geometric patterns – added points of interest to the space.

The striking result is a modern workplace, fully supportive of the company’s aim to empower its team to use ingenuity and creativity to transform the way people solve problems through data.
